Ingredients
  

  • 12 mini Nutter Butters or mini Nilla Wafers
  • 24 Hershey's Kisses any flavor
  • 0.67 cup peanut butter chips divided (or other chip flavors like chocolate or butterscotch)

  • Get Ready to Assemble: Lay out a piece of parchment paper on a large baking sheet or any flat surface. This keeps things tidy and easy!
  • Cookie Caps: Carefully separate your mini Nutter Butter cookies. If using Nutter Butters, gently scrape off the peanut butter filling from each half with a knife so you have clean cookie "caps." If using Nilla Wafers, you can skip this step!
  • Pre-Stage Your Treats: Unwrap all your Hershey's Kisses and place them next to your cookie halves. Also, have your separate peanut butter chips ready – these will be the cute little "stems" for your acorns.
  • Melt the "Glue": Take the remaining ⅔ cup of peanut butter chips and put them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them at 50% power for 30-second bursts, stirring well after each, until they are smoothly melted. Don't overheat them!
  • Build Your Acorns (Bottom Half): Dip the flat bottom of each unwrapped Hershey's Kiss into the melted peanut butter, then quickly press it onto the flat side of one cookie half. This forms the main body of your acorn. Repeat for all and let them sit for about 5 minutes to firm up slightly.
  • Add the Stems: Dip one end of each small peanut butter chip (your stem!) into the melted peanut butter mixture (reheat if needed). Gently press this onto the top of the cookie cap to create the acorn's stem.
  • Chill & Enjoy: Place your adorable acorn cookies in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes. This helps them set completely. Once firm, they're ready to serve and delight everyone!
