Ingredients
  

  • 125 g Butter ½ cup
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 ml Oil ⅓ cup
  • 1 packet Vanilla Sugar
  • 1 packet Baking Powder
  • 100 g Cornstarch ¾ cup
  • 200 g Powdered Sugar 1 cup
  • 450 g Flour 3 ½ cups
  • 3-4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 200 g Walnuts about 1 ½ cups, chopped
  • 450 g Apples about 3-4 apples, chopped
  • to taste Sugar for apple filling

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the dough by mixing butter, eggs, oil, vanilla sugar, baking powder, cornstarch, powdered sugar, flour, and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Set aside one-third of the dough for the crumble topping; knead the rest and let it rest for about an hour until it rises.
  • During resting, prepare the apple filling by combining chopped apples, walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Shape the rested dough into small discs, place a spoonful of apple mixture on each, then top with the crumble dough.
  • Bake at 175°C (347°F) for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Finish with a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of cinnamon and sugar to taste. These cookies are best enjoyed fresh!
