Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened (can use light cream cheese for a healthier twist)
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream (Greek yogurt is a great healthy alternative here!)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (feel free to adjust to your taste preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
  • 8 ounces lump crab meat thoroughly drained and gently squeezed to remove excess moisture
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives finely chopped (plus extra for garnish, if desired)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, fresh lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and sea salt. Whisk everything together until the mixture is wonderfully smooth and creamy.
  • Carefully add the well-drained lump crab meat and chopped chives to your creamy base. Using a spatula, gently fold them in, making sure not to overmix. This keeps those delicious, tender chunks of crab intact.
  • You can enjoy your cold crab dip immediately, but for the best flavor, cover the bowl and chill it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. This allows all the delicious flavors to blend and deepen. Give it a gentle stir before serving, and optionally, sprinkle with a few extra fresh chives for a pop of color!

Notes

Optionally, sprinkle with a few extra fresh chives for a pop of color before serving.
