2clovesGarlicminced
1/2cupMilkwarm or room temperature; use less for a firmer mash
1/2teaspoonSea saltto taste
1/4teaspoonBlack pepperto taste
Instructions
Grab a large pot and fill it with salted water, then bring it to a rolling boil.
Gently add your sweet potato cubes to the boiling water. Let them cook for about 15 minutes, or until they're super tender when you poke them with a fork. Drain all the water completely and pat the sweet potatoes dry.
In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for just a minute until it smells fantastic. Remove the pot from the heat.
Return the drained sweet potatoes to the pot. Pour in the milk and start mashing! You can use a potato masher for a slightly chunky texture, or an electric hand mixer for a silky smooth finish.
Season your mashed sweet potatoes with sea salt and black pepper, adjusting to your taste preference.
Serve these warm, healthy mashed sweet potatoes right away. Feel free to add a little extra butter or a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives on top for an extra touch!
