Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings whole or split
  • Salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder for seasoning wings

Parmesan Mixture

  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for a little kick!
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder for the Parmesan mixture
  • Salt to taste (for the Parmesan mixture)
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste (for the Parmesan mixture)

Instructions
 

  • Get Ready: Preheat your oven to a hot 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for super easy cleanup – no scrubbing needed later!
  • Season Up: Make sure your chicken wings are patted completely dry with paper towels (this is a key step for maximum crispiness!). Season them generously with salt, pepper, and the first ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Arrange & Bake: Lay the seasoned wings in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. It’s important to give them a little space between each wing so they can get perfectly crispy, not steamy. Slide the baking sheet onto the middle rack of your preheated oven and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until they're beautifully golden and deliciously crisp.
  • Parmesan Mix: While your wings are baking, whisk together the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes (if you're using them), the second ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch more salt and pepper in a small bowl. This is your flavorful, cheesy topping!
  • Toss & Serve: As soon as the wings come out of the oven, immediately transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle the Parmesan mixture all over the hot wings and toss them really well, ensuring every single wing is coated in that amazing cheesy, garlicky goodness. Serve them right away for the best crispy experience!
