Ingredients

  • 2 large heads kale (about 1 pound)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp sea salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep: Get your oven ready by setting it to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash & Dry: Give your kale a good wash and make sure to dry it completely – this helps it get nice and crispy! Then, remove the leaves from the tough stalks and tear them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Season & Toss: Place the kale leaves on a large baking sheet with a rim. Drizzle them with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to gently toss everything together, making sure each piece is lightly coated.
  • Roast to Perfection: Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Roast for about 12-15 minutes, giving them a stir halfway through to ensure even crispiness. Keep an eye on them so they don't burn!
  • Serve: Once crispy, you can add a little extra salt and pepper if you like. Enjoy your roasted kale warm or chilled!
