Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon beef base paste, like Better Than Bouillon Organic Beef Base
  • 1 cup natural sour cream such as Tillamook or Daisy, or plain Greek yogurt for a healthier twist
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce regular or low-sodium
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons crispy fried onions crushed slightly, for topping
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley or dried parsley optional, for a pop of color

Instructions

  • Grab a medium mixing bowl and use a spatula to spread the beef base along the edge. This helps it blend smoothly into your dip without any clumps.
  • Add the sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option!), dried onion flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper to the bowl.
  • Stir everything together with your spatula, making sure to incorporate the beef base from the side of the bowl until the dip is well combined and creamy.
  • For the best flavor, cover the dip and chill it in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes. This allows the delicious flavors to meld together. If you're in a rush, it's still tasty right away!
  • Just before serving, sprinkle the top generously with the crushed crispy fried onions and the optional fresh or dried parsley. Enjoy with your favorite healthy dippers like veggie sticks!

Notes

Feel free to use plain Greek yogurt for a healthier twist on this delicious dip. For the best flavor, allow the dip to chill for 30 to 60 minutes to meld the flavors, though it's still tasty right away! Enjoy with your favorite healthy dippers like veggie sticks.
