Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds cooked chicken cubed or shredded (such as chicken breast or thighs)
  • 1 pound fresh broccoli florets steamed and drained (or thawed and drained frozen broccoli)
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 tablespoon dried dill weed (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.25 cup cooked bacon crumbles plus 2 tablespoons for topping
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 4 ounces mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack or mozzarella)

Instructions
 

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). If you're preparing this dish ahead of time, you can skip this step for now and store the unbaked casserole in the fridge for a day or two.
  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, dried minced onion, parsley, garlic powder, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and perfectly blended, creating a delicious ranch-inspired sauce.
  • Gently fold the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, three-quarters (3/4) of the shredded cheese, and the 1/4 cup of bacon crumbles into the creamy sauce. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined and coated.
  • Lightly spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil cooking spray. Pour the entire casserole mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and the extra 2 tablespoons of bacon crumbles over the top of the casserole for a final layer of flavor and texture.
  • Place the baking dish into your preheated oven. Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly. For an extra golden-brown top, you can briefly broil it for a minute or two at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning.
