Easy Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake 🍒

This incredibly simple and delicious dump cake features luscious cherry pie filling topped with chocolate cake mix, chocolate chips, and melted butter, baked to golden perfection. A quick and easy dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 ounces each)
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (18 ounces)
  • 0.5 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 12 tbsp salted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Evenly pour both cans of cherry pie filling into the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
  • Gently sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix right over the cherry filling. Important: Do NOT mix! This is the magic of a dump cake.
  • Scatter the mini chocolate chips evenly over the cake mix layer.
  • Carefully drizzle the melted butter over the entire top surface, ensuring it's distributed as much as possible.
  • Pop it into the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  • Let the cake rest for about 15 minutes after baking – this helps it set.

Notes

Serve warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra special treat!
