Instructions
 

  • Start by preheating your mini waffle maker. A small 4-inch waffle maker works best for perfectly sized chaffles!
  • In a medium bowl, gently whisk one large egg with ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese until well combined. This is your versatile basic chaffle mix!
  • Now, choose your preferred flavor adventure! For Classic Chaffles, stir in a tiny pinch of Kosher salt and pepper. For Jalapeño Chaffles, gently fold in 1 tablespoon of diced jalapeños, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. For Chocolate Chip Chaffles, mix in 2 tablespoons of sugar-free chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of your favorite sugar-free brown sweetener. For Everything Bagel Chaffles, simply blend in 1 teaspoon of everything bagel seasoning.
  • Lightly spray the inside of your preheated waffle maker with cooking spray. Pour half of your chosen chaffle mixture into the waffle maker.
  • Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or a bit longer if you love extra crispy chaffles, until they are beautifully golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat the cooking process with the remaining mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy, versatile chaffles as bread, buns, or a sweet treat!
