Instructions
Fire up your grill or campfire for low heat, using about 16-20 charcoal briquettes or wood chips.
Line a Dutch oven or heavy pot with heavy-duty aluminum foil, then spoon in the raspberry pie filling.
In a separate bowl, stir together the cake mix, water, and oil until smooth.
Pour this batter evenly over the pie filling.
Cover the pot and set it directly over 8-10 hot, ash-covered briquettes, then use tongs to place the remaining briquettes on top of the lid.
Cook until the filling is bubbly and a toothpick inserted into the topping comes out clean, about 30-40 minutes. Carefully lift the lid to check.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you like.
