  • 15 ounces yellow cake mix about 1 box
  • 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup strawberry preserves
  • 1 tablespoon water

  • Get Ready: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or give it a light spray with cooking spray for easy cleanup.
  • Make the Crumb Base: In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and quick-cooking oats. Pour in the melted butter and mix it all together until you have a crumbly texture.
  • Form the First Layer: Press half of this crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish. This will be your delicious crust!
  • Prepare the Filling: In a small separate bowl, stir the strawberry preserves and water together until they are well combined.
  • Add the Berry Layer: Carefully spread the strawberry preserve mixture evenly over the crumb crust in the pan.
  • Top it Off: Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the strawberry preserves and gently press it down.
  • Bake to Perfection: Bake for 18 to 23 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.
