Ingredients
  

Bagel Dogs

  • 1 lb (8 count) hot dogs
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 large egg for dough
  • 1 1/4 cups almond flour
  • 2 tbsp unflavored whey protein powder or extra almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Egg Wash

  • 1 large egg beaten with 2 tsp water
  • sesame seeds optional topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Prepare egg wash by whisking egg with water.
  • Microwave mozzarella and cream cheese until melted, then mix with egg until smooth.
  • Add almond flour, whey protein powder, and baking soda. Mix into a sticky dough and chill briefly.
  • Divide dough into 8 portions, roll into ropes, and wrap around hot dogs.
  • Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  • Bake for 10–15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

Best served fresh and warm for optimal texture.
