Equipment

  • 8x8-inch Pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Separate bowl
  • Whisk
  • Toothpick

Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or full fat)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup (or your preferred sweetener)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup almond or oat flour
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate chips Optional: or chopped nuts, or other toppings

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper, making sure to leave some overhang to easily lift out the brownies later.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, simply mix the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  • Gently add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir just until everything is combined – be careful not to overmix! If you're adding any optional chips or nuts, fold them in now.
  • Pour the brownie batter into your prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes. You'll know they're ready when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs, not wet batter.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan. For that extra fudgy texture, refrigerate them for at least 1 hour before slicing into 12 perfect squares. Enjoy your guilt-free indulgence!
