Homemade Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks

These breadsticks are irresistibly cheesy, garlicky, and utterly delightful!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • In a larger bowl, combine flour, salt, the yeast mixture, and olive oil. Knead the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Prepare the garlic butter by mixing minced garlic with melted butter.
  • Roll out the dough, brush it with garlic butter, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, and roll it into breadsticks.
  • Slice the log into individual breadsticks, place them on a baking sheet, and bake at 425°F for 15-20 minutes.
  • After baking, brush the breadsticks with the remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley, then serve warm.
