  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8-10 slices provolone cheese
  • 0.5 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup chopped green peppers
  • 0.5 cup diced onions
  • 32 ounces jar of Rao's marinara sauce or your favorite keto-friendly marinara

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, sauté the ground sausage and beef until nicely browned. Once cooked, make sure to drain any excess fat thoroughly and set the meat aside.
  • Grab your 8-quart slow cooker and start by spooning about 1/3 cup of Rao's sauce onto the bottom. This creates a lovely base and helps prevent sticking.
  • Now, let's build! Spread roughly one cup of your browned meat mixture as the first layer. Follow with a sprinkle of pepperoni, some of your fresh veggies, and a generous layer of mozzarella cheese.
  • Continue this delicious layering process: add another drizzle of marinara sauce, then more meat, optional veggies, and more mozzarella. Keep going until all your ingredients are used, making sure your top layer is shredded mozzarella.
  • Crown your casserole with the provolone cheese slices. Cook on low for 4 hours, allowing all the wonderful flavors to meld together perfectly.
  • Serve hot and savor every cheesy, meaty bite!

Notes

For an extra zing, you can sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese or a dash of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
