Instructions
Combine sweeteners and water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, whisking until dissolved.
Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring carefully.
Add butter, whisk until melted, then simmer until thickened and darkened.
Remove from heat, stir in maple extract and salt.
Cool to room temperature, then transfer to a jar.
Notes
Store in a jar at room temperature. Perfect for pancakes or drizzling over desserts.
