Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Fish

  • 1 lb wild snapper or any white fish, cut into 4 fillets
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Assembly

  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • lemon wedges (optional)

Creamy Slaw

  • 1 cup coleslaw salad mix
  • 0.5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 0.5 tbsp sweet relish
  • 0.5 tbsp ketchup
  • 0.25 tsp mustard

Seasonings

  • 0.5 tsp roasted garlic pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat the fish fillets dry, then season evenly with roasted garlic pepper, salt, and black pepper. Lightly dust each fillet with flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Gently place the fillets in the pan and cook for 5–7 minutes per side, flipping once when the bottom turns golden brown.
  • While the fish cooks, make the slaw: In a small bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, and mustard. Stir until well mixed.
  • Lightly toast the burger buns. Place a fish fillet on the bottom half of each bun. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the fish if desired, then add tomato slices and a generous spoonful of the creamy slaw. Close the buns and serve immediately.
