- 1 box strawberry cake mix 15.25 ounce
- 0.5 cup vegetable oil scant, or 7 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 0.5 cup white chocolate melting wafers optional, for dipping
- heart sprinkles optional, for decoration
Get Ready to Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Mix It Up: In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and eggs. Stir everything together until a cohesive dough forms.
Scoop & Bake: Use a medium cookie scoop or a regular spoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheet, ensuring you leave a little space between each cookie.
Bake to Perfection: Place the baking sheet into your preheated oven and bake for 9 to 11 minutes. The cookies are done when they look set and no longer glossy, but make sure they don't brown.
Cool Down: Allow the warm cookies to rest on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before gently transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional Valentine's Touch: Once the cookies are fully cooled, you can melt about ½ cup of white chocolate melting wafers. Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate, then place them on wax paper. Add festive heart sprinkles before the chocolate sets for an extra special Valentine's flair!
Quick Tip: If the dough feels overly sticky, pop it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes – it makes handling much easier!
