Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Wooden Skewers

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup fine yellow cornmeal
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 24 Lit’l Smokies or mini hot dogs patted dry

  • Insert a wooden skewer into each mini sausage, then dip it into the batter, coating it completely.
  • Place the coated corn dogs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, lightly spray with oil, and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
