fig jam or raspberry preserves

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Center the Brie on the puff pastry sheet.
Cut the pastry into thin strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
Drape the strips over the Brie in a crisscross pattern, leaving small gaps.
Reserve two strips to create a brow line for the eyes.
Spread jam over the Brie if desired before adding pastry strips.
Tuck herbs underneath the pastry if using.
Brush the pastry strips with beaten egg for a shiny, golden finish.
Bake for 18–22 minutes until the pastry is puffed and golden.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then add raisin eyes or olives.
Serve warm with crackers, grapes, or apple slices.
