Baking Sheet
Parchment Paper
Pastry Brush
- 1 8-oz. can crescent roll dough
- 3 slices American cheese or low-fat cheddar
- 12 hot dogs or chicken/turkey sausages pre-cooked
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter or olive oil for brushing
- Dijon mustard for eyes
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 4 rectangles along the perforations. Pinch any seams together.
Cut each rectangle lengthwise into thin strips (you’ll get about 4 strips per rectangle).
Cut each cheese slice into 4 thin strips. Place one cheese strip on a dough strip, then lay a hot dog on top.
Wrap the dough strip around the hot dog and cheese, leaving small gaps so it looks like bandages. Repeat with all hot dogs (use about 4 dough strips per dog).
Place the wrapped hot dogs on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the dough is golden and cooked through.
Let cool slightly. Use a toothpick to dot on two mustard eyes for the mummy face. Serve warm!
