Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (85/15 or leaner)
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 casserole dish – it helps with easy cleanup!
  • In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, combine the ground beef, chopped bell pepper, and onion. Brown the meat, breaking it up with a spoon, until it's fully cooked and no pink remains.
  • Carefully drain any excess grease from the skillet. This keeps your casserole lighter and healthier!
  • Return the beef and veggie mix to the skillet and reduce the heat to medium. Stir in the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
  • Next, add the Worcestershire sauce and the softened cream cheese. Stir everything together until the cream cheese is completely melted and creates a creamy, rich sauce.
  • Spread this flavorful mixture evenly into your prepared 8x8 casserole dish.
  • Finally, top the casserole with the 6 slices of provolone cheese, covering the mixture beautifully.
