Equipment

  • Cast Iron Skillet
  • Medium Casserole Dish

Ingredients

  • 15 oz Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 large Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2/3 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1.5 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 12 tablespoons Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 12-inch cast iron skillet or a medium casserole dish and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and vanilla; whisk until smooth. Add heavy cream and mix well. Pour into prepared skillet.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Incorporate melted butter using a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spread evenly over pumpkin filling.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until filling is set and topping is golden brown. Cover with foil if topping browns too quickly.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes to let the filling firm up. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, preferably cinnamon ice cream for extra flavor.
