Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (or sugar-free chocolate for a healthier twist)
  • 0.5 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, helps with melting; omit if using candy melts)
  • 2 shots fresh espresso (or strong brewed coffee / cold brew)
  • 0.5 cup cold milk of choice (almond, oat, or skim milk for a lighter option)
  • ice cubes Plenty of
  • 1-2 teaspoons natural sweetener Optional: (like maple syrup or stevia)
  • sugar-free flavor syrup Optional: a splash of, for extra sweetness

Instructions
 

  • First, gently melt your chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl, heating for 30-second bursts until smooth. Stir well between each burst.
  • Carefully pour the melted chocolate into a clear plastic cup. Tilt and rotate the cup to create an even, thin chocolate coating on the inside walls, then pour out any extra chocolate.
  • Pop the chocolate-lined cup into the freezer for about 30 minutes until the chocolate is completely firm and set.
  • While the cup chills, brew two shots of espresso or prepare a small cup of strong coffee/cold brew.
  • Once the chocolate is solid, remove the cup from the freezer. Fill it generously with ice cubes.
  • Pour your freshly brewed coffee over the ice, followed by your milk of choice. If desired, stir in your preferred natural sweetener or sugar-free syrup now.
  • Secure the lid on the cup and gently squeeze the sides. Listen for that satisfying "crack!" as the chocolate shell breaks apart into delicious shards, mixing with your latte.
