Equipment

  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Small Saucepan
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Serrated Knife

Ingredients

  • 18 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls from two 12-count packages
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 to 1¼ pounds lean deli-sliced roast beef thinly sliced, about ⅛ inch thick
  • 10 slices non-smoked provolone cheese about ⅛ inch thick, from an 8-ounce package
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • tablespoons bottled barbecue sauce like Sweet Baby Ray’s Original
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • First, get your oven ready by preheating it to 350°F (175°C). Carefully slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom sections together. Place the bottom halves snugly into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise over the bottom rolls. Now, arrange your lean deli roast beef slices over the mayonnaise, folding them as needed to cover each roll evenly. Next, layer the provolone cheese slices neatly on top of the roast beef. Finally, place the top halves of the rolls back on, pressing down gently to ensure everything stays put.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the Dijon mustard, barbecue sauce, poppy seeds, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring this mixture to a gentle boil for about 2-3 minutes, then remove it from the heat.
  • Pour the warm, savory butter sauce evenly over the tops of your assembled sliders. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes. After that, remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are a light golden brown and the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, let the sliders cool for a few minutes. Then, use a serrated knife to slice between the rolls, making them easy to pull apart. Serve these warm, cheesy, and satisfying sliders immediately!
