Mix & Form: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, Italian sausage, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, shredded zucchini, egg, dried minced onion, dried minced garlic, dried basil, and salt. Mix everything together really well until fully combined. Roll the mixture into about 24 uniform meatballs and arrange them neatly in your prepared casserole dish.
First Bake: Pop the dish into the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned. Once done, carefully remove the dish and drain any excess cooking liquid – this helps keep your dish healthy and less greasy!
