  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease

  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • balsamic reduction optional drizzle

  • Prep Your Sprouts: Start by giving your Brussels sprouts a good wash and trimming off their woody ends. For quick shredding, use a food processor with a slicing blade – just stand the sprouts upright in the chute. If you don't have one, a sharp knife works too, or simply grab pre-shredded sprouts from the store!
  • Heat & Sauté: Warm up a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and bacon grease, letting them melt together to create a flavorful base.
  • Season & Cook: Toss in your shredded Brussels sprouts, along with the garlic salt and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick. Stir everything well to ensure the sprouts are evenly coated. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they're tender-crisp and just starting to turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Finish & Serve: Take the skillet off the heat and gently fold in the grated parmesan cheese until it's well combined and slightly melted. For an extra touch of deliciousness, drizzle with a little balsamic reduction (or balsamic vinegar if you prefer!). Serve immediately and enjoy this healthy, flavorful side dish!
