Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 10 pitted black olives

Instructions

  • Boil the eggs until hard-boiled using your favorite method.
  • In a pot, combine the frozen wild blueberries with a splash of boiling water and cook for 10–15 minutes until the liquid is dark.
  • Crack the shells of the hard-boiled eggs gently all over with a spoon, keeping the shells on.
  • Place the cracked eggs into the blueberry liquid, then remove from heat and let them soak for 15 minutes.
  • Let the eggs cool completely, then peel them to reveal a spooky spiderweb pattern.
  • Cut each peeled egg in half and arrange on a serving plate.
  • Slice the olives in half lengthwise. Use one half for the spider body and cut the other half into thin slices for the legs.
  • Place an olive half on each egg half, then add three thin olive slices on each side to form the spider legs.
