Spooky Hot Cocoa Bombs

Equipment

  • Half-sphere silicone mold
  • Microwave-safe plate

Ingredients
  

Shells

  • 16 oz chocolate (or candy melts)

Filling

  • 1 cup hot chocolate mix store-bought or homemade
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Optional Decorations

  • Halloween sprinkles
  • orange/black drizzle

Instructions
 

  • Melt the chocolate according to package directions.
  • Spoon 2–3 Tbsp melted chocolate into each cavity of a half-sphere silicone mold. Use a brush or spoon to coat evenly. Freeze 5 minutes.
  • Add a second thin layer of chocolate around the top edge of each mold. Freeze 3 more minutes.
  • Carefully pop the hardened shells out of the mold.
  • Warm a plate in the microwave for 1 minute. Gently rub the rim of one shell on the warm plate for a few seconds to soften.
  • Fill the shell with 2 Tbsp hot chocolate mix and ¼ cup mini marshmallows.
  • Soften the rim of another shell on the warm plate, then press it on top to seal. Smooth the seam with your finger. Refrigerate 5 minutes to set.
  • (Optional) Drizzle melted chocolate over the bomb and add Halloween sprinkles.
  • To serve: heat 1 cup milk in a mug for 90 seconds, drop in a cocoa bomb, stir until melted, and enjoy!
