Equipment

  • Large non-stick skillet

Ingredients

  • 4 low-carb tortillas (soft taco size)
  • 2 cups shredded quesadilla or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 12 ounces thinly sliced cooked steak (your favorite cut)
  • 8 tablespoons Taco Bell-style quesadilla sauce
  • olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly coat the pan with olive oil spray, then place one tortilla in the skillet.
  • On one half of the tortilla, sprinkle ¼ cup of shredded cheese, followed by 3 ounces of thinly sliced steak, 2 tablespoons of the quesadilla sauce, and another ¼ cup of cheese.
  • Carefully fold the tortilla in half. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, until the cheese is beautifully melted and the tortilla is golden brown and slightly crispy. If any cheese spills, gently wipe the pan clean before the next quesadilla.
  • Transfer the cooked quesadilla to a cutting board and slice it into halves or thirds using a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Repeat these steps for the remaining ingredients to make all four delicious steak quesadillas.

Notes

Serve hot with your favorite toppings like extra sauce, guacamole, salsa, or sour cream.
