Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans strawberry pie filling 15.75-ounce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 large egg at room temperature
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 box vanilla or white cake mix
  • 0.5 cup cold butter sliced thin

Instructions
 

  • Get started by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread both cans of strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, egg, and granulated sugar together until beautifully smooth and creamy.
  • Gently drop spoonfuls of the creamy cheesecake mixture over the strawberry layer, spreading it out a bit for an even surface.
  • Evenly sprinkle the entire box of cake mix over the cheesecake and strawberry layers.
  • Carefully place thin slices of cold butter all over the cake mix layer, covering as much as possible for that perfect crispy topping.
  • Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the strawberry filling is happily bubbling around the edges.
  • Let your delicious dump cake rest for 15 minutes after baking before serving. This helps it set perfectly!
