jar
- 4 cups water
- 1/3 cup Swerve Brown or another brown sugar replacement
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 4 bags black tea
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine water, sweetener, and all the spices in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, whisking, until it reaches a full boil.
As soon as it boils, take the pan off the heat. Add the black tea bags and let them steep for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the tea bags, squeezing them gently to get all the flavor out, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the concentrate through a fine-mesh sieve to catch any spice bits, ensuring a smooth liquid.
