Crispy Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts sliced into tenders
  • ¾ cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • cup gluten-free flour
  • 2 large eggs for chicken coating
  • Olive oil cooking spray

Protein Waffles

  • 1 ½ cups protein waffle mix or your favorite homemade protein waffle recipe
  • 2 large eggs for waffles
  • 1 cup water

  • First, grab a shallow dish and whisk together your gluten-free breadcrumbs with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. This is your flavorful crispy coating!
  • In another bowl, whisk the 2 eggs (for the chicken coating) for a quick dip. In a third bowl, put your gluten-free flour. You're setting up a little assembly line for super crispy chicken!
  • Now, take each chicken tender. First, dredge it lightly in the gluten-free flour, then dip it into the whisked eggs, and finally, press it into your seasoned breadcrumb mix until fully coated. Get ready for that satisfying crunch!
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes while you finish prepping the chicken. A hot start ensures amazing crispness!
  • Lightly spray your air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer, making sure they have enough space – no crowding, please! Give them another light spray on top for extra golden crispiness.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping them gently halfway through. They're perfect when golden brown and wonderfully crispy. For an even crunchier bite, cook for an extra minute or two!
  • While your chicken cooks, get your waffles ready! In a medium bowl, simply whisk together your protein waffle mix, the remaining 2 eggs, and water until just combined. Don't overmix – a few lumps are fine! Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
