- 14 fl oz water
- 5 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 tablespoon malic acid (optional, for extra sourness)
Combine the water and protein powder in a small saucepan, whisking until smooth and fully dissolved. If you're adding malic acid, stir it in now.
Sprinkle the gelatin powder evenly over the liquid surface. Let it sit undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to "bloom" or soften.
Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Continue until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is clear. Do not boil!
Carefully pour the warm mixture into your favorite silicone molds or a parchment-lined shallow dish.
