Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces kataifi shredded pastry dough finely chopped
  • 1 cup creamy pistachio butter (or pistachio cream)
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (optional, for balance)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh strawberries halved or quartered
  • crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Crispy Pistachio Base: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the finely chopped kataifi dough and stir constantly for about 10 minutes until it turns golden brown and delightfully crispy. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Flavorful Filling: Stir in the creamy pistachio butter and the optional tahini into the crispy kataifi mixture. Let this delicious filling cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Silky Chocolate Drizzle: Combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is smoothly melted and glossy. This makes it perfect for drizzling!
  • Layer and Build: To assemble your healthy dessert cups, start by placing approximately 8 strawberry halves (or quarters) in the bottom of each of four 12-ounce clear cups.
  • Drizzle & Fill: Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of the melted chocolate over the strawberries, letting it naturally fill the gaps between the berries. Then, spoon about 3 tablespoons of your crunchy pistachio-kataifi filling directly on top of the chocolate layer.
  • Repeat & Garnish: Add another generous layer of fresh strawberries, almost filling the cup. Top with more of the pistachio-kataifi mixture, a final decadent drizzle of melted chocolate, and a sprinkle of crushed pistachios for a beautiful and flavorful finish.
