Ingredients

For the Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Swerve Brown sugar-free brown sugar substitute
  • 2 tablespoons allulose or powdered Swerve for a sticky glaze
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce adjust to your heat preference
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder optional, for smoky spice

For the Kielbasa

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil for healthy fats
  • 1 1/2 pounds kielbasa choose a sugar-free brand for keto
  • red pepper flakes optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Craft the Sweet Glaze: In a medium bowl or glass measuring cup, whisk together the tomato paste and water until smooth. Then, stir in the Swerve Brown, allulose, minced garlic, hot sauce, and chipotle powder (if you're using it for that extra kick!). Set this vibrant glaze aside.
  • Sear the Kielbasa: Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it's shimmering. Add about half of your sliced kielbasa to the pan. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, turning the pieces occasionally, until they're beautifully browned all over. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked kielbasa to a clean bowl, then repeat with the remaining kielbasa, adding it to the same bowl.
  • Wipe & Whisk the Glaze: Carefully drain or wipe out any excess oil from the skillet, leaving just a clean pan. Pour your prepared sweet and spicy glaze directly into the warm pan. Stir constantly for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes wonderfully sticky – perfect for coating!
  • Coat & Serve: Return all the cooked kielbasa pieces to the skillet with the thickened glaze. Toss gently until every bite is perfectly coated in the delicious, healthy sauce. If you like a bit more visual pop and heat, sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Serve these festive bites hot and enjoy your easy, healthy appetizer!
