Equipment

  • Microwave-Safe Cups
  • Parchment Paper
  • Disposable candy piping bag (optional)

Ingredients

  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 12 lollipop sticks 4-inch
  • 1 cup red candy melts or use dark chocolate for a richer flavor
  • 1 cup pink candy melts
  • 1 cup white candy melts
  • Assorted Valentine's sprinkles heart shapes, sugar pearls

Instructions

  • Prep Your Cookies: Carefully twist each Oreo cookie apart, separating the two chocolate halves. This creates a perfect little spot for your lollipop stick!
  • Anchor the Sticks: Grab one of your microwave-safe cups and melt a small amount of any color candy melts. Heat in the microwave for 20-second bursts, stirring until it's smooth and liquid. Dip the very tip of a lollipop stick into this melted candy, then gently sandwich it between the two Oreo halves. Press them back together firmly.
  • Quick Chill: Place these stick-inserted Oreos on a sheet of parchment paper. Let them cool and firm up completely. If you're short on time, a quick 5-10 minute trip to the freezer will speed up the process significantly!
  • Melt Your Colors: Now, fill your other microwave-safe cups about two-thirds full with your chosen red, pink, and white candy melts. Melt each color separately in the microwave, using the same 20-second bursts and stirring until smooth and creamy.
  • Dip & Decorate: Holding an Oreo pop by its stick, carefully dip it into one of your melted candy colors. Make sure the entire cookie is coated. Lift it out, letting any extra candy drip back into the cup.
  • Add Sparkle: Immediately lay the freshly dipped Oreo pop onto a clean sheet of parchment paper. While the candy coating is still wet and shiny, generously sprinkle it with your Valentine's sprinkles.
  • Final Set: Allow all your beautifully decorated Oreo pops to cool and set completely. Again, a brief visit to the refrigerator or freezer can help them firm up faster. Once they're solid, they're ready to be enjoyed!
