Cookie Base

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix 15.25 ounce
  • 7 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter for a richer taste
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat – this makes cleanup a breeze!
  • In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir everything together until you have a smooth, well-combined dough. It will be a bit sticky, which is perfectly normal!
  • For easier handling, you can pop the dough into the fridge for about 15-20 minutes. This little chill time helps firm it up.
  • Using a medium cookie scoop or a spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheet. Leave a little space between each cookie. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops look matte, not glossy. Remember, we want soft cookies, not browned ones!
  • Let the freshly baked cookies rest on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before gently transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • If you're feeling extra festive, once the cookies are fully cooled, you can melt some white chocolate melting wafers. Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate and add a sprinkle of heart sprinkles before the chocolate sets. A delightful treat for your loved ones!
