Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk (or electric mixer)
  • Baking Sheets
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces white cake mix 1 box
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup canola oil or light olive oil
  • 0.75 cup white chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Valentine's sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the white cake mix and the 2 tablespoons of flour. Give it a good whisk to ensure everything is blended.
  • Pour in the 2 large egg whites and the 1/2 cup of canola oil. Mix well with a spoon or electric mixer until a smooth dough forms.
  • Stir in the white chocolate chips and colorful Valentine's sprinkles until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Place your cookie dough in the refrigerator to chill for about 15-20 minutes. This helps the cookies hold their shape better.
  • Remove the dough from the fridge. Roll it into 1-2 inch balls and place them about 2-3 inches apart on your baking sheets. Gently press down on each cookie ball about 1/4 inch – no need to flatten completely!
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Enjoy your lovely Valentine's treats! The chilling step helps the cookies hold their shape better, resulting in perfectly shaped cookies.
