Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup for the meat mixture
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes divided
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup extra ketchup for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a baking dish (at least 7x11 inches) with cooking spray to ensure your meatloaf doesn't stick.
  • In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, milk, ¼ cup of ketchup (for the mixture), 1 tablespoon of the parsley flakes, minced onion flakes, seasoned salt, salt, and pepper. Gently mix everything together until just combined, being careful not to overmix, which can make the meatloaf tough.
  • Form the meat mixture into an oval-shaped loaf and carefully place it into your prepared baking dish. Spread the extra ¼ cup of ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf for a delicious glaze.
  • Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches a safe 160°F (71°C). This will ensure it's fully cooked and wonderfully juicy.
  • Once baked, remove the meatloaf from the oven. Garnish with the remaining ½ tablespoon of parsley flakes. Allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
