Equipment

  • 8-inch square baking pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Small Saucepan
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups Rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour (or ground sunflower seeds for a nut-free option)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 1/4 cup Dried cranberries (sugar-free preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons Almonds, roughly chopped (or sunflower seeds for nut-free)
  • 3 tablespoons Honey (sugar-free substitute or regular)
  • 1/4 cup Besti Brown Monk Fruit Allulose Blend (or regular brown sugar)
  • 2/3 cup Butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free choice)
  • 1/3 cup Sugar-free dark chocolate chips (or your favorite kind)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy lifting, and lightly grease it.
  • In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond flour, sea salt, raisins, dried cranberries, and chopped almonds. Give it a good stir to mix everything evenly.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, gently melt the butter, Besti Brown (or brown sugar), and honey together until smooth. It's important not to let this mixture boil.
  • Pour the warm, melted buttery mixture over your dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly until everything is well combined and coated – ensure every oat feels loved!
  • Scoop this delicious mixture into your prepared baking pan. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to press it down firmly and create an even layer. Remember not to pack it too tightly, or your bars might turn out a bit too hard.
  • Pop the pan into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are beautifully golden brown. The center might still look a little soft, but don't worry, it will firm up as it cools.
  • Let the bars cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, using the parchment paper overhang, carefully lift the entire slab out and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. This step is crucial for helping them set perfectly.
  • Once the bars are cool, melt your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl (heat in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until smooth). Drizzle the luscious melted chocolate evenly over the top of the breakfast bar slab.
  • Allow the chocolate to set completely. You can even pop them in the fridge to speed this process up. Once fully set, slice your wholesome breakfast bar slab into individual bars or squares. Enjoy your healthy, homemade treat!
