Ingredients
  

  • 4 large navel oranges peeled and sectioned
  • 2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar or to taste (use less for a healthier option!)
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened shredded coconut
  • A few maraschino cherries for a festive pop of color

Instructions
 

  • Grab your ingredients and a sharp knife. Carefully peel your oranges, making sure to remove all the bitter white pith.
  • Now, let's get those juicy orange segments! Hold an orange over a bowl to catch all the delicious juice. Using your knife, slice along the inside of each membrane to release the orange sections. Pop them out into the bowl.
  • Once all segments are out, give the remaining membranes a good squeeze over the bowl to get every last drop of juice. You can then discard the membranes.
  • Taste an orange segment to check its sweetness. If you like it a little sweeter, sprinkle in a tablespoon or two of powdered sugar and mix gently. Add more if needed, but remember we're aiming for healthy!
  • Spoon your vibrant orange mixture into a pretty serving dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded coconut evenly over the top.
  • Just before serving, nestle a few bright red maraschino cherries on top for that perfect holiday touch. Enjoy this refreshing and light treat!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your taste. For a healthier option, use less or omit it.
