Ingredients
  

  • 2 large chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1/4 tsp dried Italian seasoning optional
  • pepper optional, to taste
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and adjust the rack to the top third.
  • Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create 4 thinner pieces.
  • Arrange the chicken in a casserole dish and season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper.
  • Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated, then sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F. Optionally, uncover and broil for a few minutes to brown the cheese.
