Ingredients
  

  • 6-7 pound bone-in turkey breast skin intact
  • 2 oranges quartered (or 1 orange and 1 lemon, quartered)
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons fine sea salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or chicken stock or apple cider)

Instructions
 

  • Pat your turkey breast dry with a paper towel to help the seasonings stick.
  • Layer the bottom of your slow cooker with the quartered oranges and fresh sprigs of thyme and rosemary. This creates a fragrant bed for the turkey.
  • Drizzle olive oil evenly over the turkey breast. Sprinkle it generously with the chopped thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper, then gently rub these delicious seasonings into the skin.
  • Carefully place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the citrus and herbs in the slow cooker. Pour the chicken broth around its base.
  • Secure the lid on your slow cooker and let it work its magic on the low setting for 5-7 hours, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (use an instant-read thermometer in the thickest part to be sure).
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the tender turkey from the slow cooker and tent it loosely with foil. Let it rest for a good 20 minutes; this crucial step helps keep it super juicy!
  • For a golden, crispy skin, remove the breasts from the bone (if bone-in) and place them under a broiler for about 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning. Tent with foil again if desired.
  • Finally, slice the tender turkey and serve it warm! Enjoy your easy and delicious meal.
